Peacocks Take Home 3-1 Win Over Niagara Falls
The Murraysville Peacocks beat the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, 3-1, at Red Bull Stadium. Starting pitcher Justin Weathersby was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The winning pitcher was Weathersby, now 3-7. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. The win makes Murraysville 21-46, nothing to write home about.

In the top of the ninth, Jeffrey Hicks stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Pipe Fitters were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Jared Haney made a terrific pitch and Hicks grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Niagara Falls comeback.
