Loss to Bulldogs Extends Fraser Valley Losing Streak
|
Spokane and Fraser Valley took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Spokane Bulldogs beat the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 9-6, at The Kennel. Spokane second baseman Tim Prohaska earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 2 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times. Fraser Valley has now lost 6 consecutive games.
Joey IJsseldijk, who is tied for 9th in the TAA with a .320 batting average, aided the Spokane cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Spokane manager Lorenzo Rodríguez.
