Canucks Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
The Moose Jaw Canucks did just enough to nip the Sandy Springs Spartans, 4-3, in 11 innings. Moose Jaw pitcher Mark Walsh, in particular, had a standout performance. Moose Jaw reliever Roberto Samper picked up the win to move to 3-2. Mike Hampton suffered the loss. The setback makes Sandy Springs 38-28.

The decisive blow was delivered by Humberto Blanco in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off fireballing left-hander Mike Hampton to win the game for Moose Jaw. The home crowd went nuts.

"We're in some kind of groove right now," said Walsh.
