Cornhuskers Score Late to Upend Beetlecats, 6-3
The DeKalb Cornhuskers picked up a win at The Coffee Grinder, knocking off the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 6-3. Starting pitcher Jose Huerta was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Huerta, now 10-3. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. At 36-31, the Cornhuskers are currently 4th in the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division.

DeKalb used the timely hitting of Sergio Ramirez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cornhuskers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Huerta.
