Crocodiles Shut Out Rockets

The Kelowna Rockets got a superb performance from pitcher Paul Richards. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Louisiana. The Crocodiles won the game, 6-0. In spite of the loss, Richards was named the player of the game. He came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters . Alex Bustillos picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Dave Rowland was tagged with the loss. Their 32-33 record puts the Crocodiles 4th in the RCLAA Lou Piniella League.
Alex Armijo put Louisiana in front, 5-0, when he took Dave Rowland downtown. His grand slam home run came with no one out in the bottom of the second. It was his 5th home run of the season.
In comments to the Louisiana Daily News, Armijo admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
