The Frisco Rams picked up a win at FUBU Field, knocking off the Evanston Bishops, 9-3. Starting pitcher Luis Alvarado played a key role in the triumph. Frisco is 5th in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League with a record of 29-27.

An inflection point occurred with no one out in the top of the third. That's when Rams shortstop Ernesto Llamas hit a slider from Symão Alegro for a 2-run single. Just like that, Frisco was up, 3-2.

"Luis was in tempo tonight," said Frisco skipper Joe Renken.
