Black Bears Get Extra-Inning, 9-8 Win
Despite a great performance by Pacifica third baseman Peleke Aliimalu, the Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Shamrocks by the score of 9-8 in 11 innings at McCormick Field. Aliimalu was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Fraser Valley reliever Erik Dubiel picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Manuel Cardenas took the loss. The 5th-place Black Bears go to 27-29.

Joaquin Bolzoni came through with a big-time hit for Fraser Valley. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 9-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Albert Giles, the Fraser Valley skipper. "This one tested us."
