The Montreal Mounties defeated the San Francisco Earthquakes, 13-8, at Mount Royal Grounds. Montreal first baseman Jared Jones had a superb performance. He went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 6. Montreal is now 20-14. San Francisco is 20-14.

With Montreal leading 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Jones hit a fastball from Juan Moreno for a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Mounties ahead, 7-0.

Jones called the triumph "a good team win."
