The Roaring River Steelheads and Silicon Valley Hackers played an exciting game.

The Silicon Valley Hackers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Ozzie Pedro into a win. Instead, the Roaring River Steelheads prevailed, 4-2. Pedro threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Steve Pisarek closed the door for Roaring River, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Roaring River took a 3-2 lead on Jose Mejia's 13th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Mejia hit in the top of the ninth, left Silicon Valley pitcher Jeremy Poholsky visibly frustrated.

Said losing manager Brad Jones: "Not taking anything away from them, but we swung the bats better than what it showed."

The first-place Hackers now sit at 31-23.
