Whitecaps Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
|
In a tight tilt between the Boston Whitecaps and the Windsor Royals, Franklin Sprague was the difference-maker. The Boston left-hander excelled in his team's 3-2 win in 13 innings. The Whitecaps saw their record improve to 34-21.
Ben King, who is tied for 3rd in the TAA in stolen bases with 10, had a direct impact on the outcome. King contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 13th inning to put Boston up, 3-2.
"I'll play 10 innings, I'll play 20," said Whitecaps manager T.J. Hall. "Whatever it takes to win the ballgame."
