The Mustang had to overcome a good performance from Wichita pitcher Casey Violet to claim a 6-5 win at Cowboys Stadium. Violet went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Arthur Pickering earned the win for Carson City. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 4-5. Kai-ge Ching recorded his 1st save for Carson City.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the second inning, when the Mustang were trailing 2-1. Mitch Sheets delivered a two-out 2-run single for Carson City, catapulting his team into the lead.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Carson City manager Bhim Varuni.

The Mustang now have a record of 31-33.
