Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum was the site of a competitive game between the Wichita Wolverines and Kelowna Rockets.
Kelowna pitcher Corey MacIndoe did his part in helping his team beat the Wichita Wolverines, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. MacIndoe picked up the win for Kelowna, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3.
Cody Kaspar dealt the Wolverines a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Kelowna leading 1-0, Kaspar hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said MacIndoe.
Wichita has now lost 4 consecutive games.
