Seagulls Lose to Bishops in Walk-Off
The Evanston Bishops finished things off in style.

Clearwater got a valiant performance from pitcher Dave Rios, but it wasn't enough to beat the Evanston Bishops. Evanston won the game, 3-1. Rios threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The Bishops now own a record of 34-17.

The decisive blow was delivered by Billy McConnell in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 19-year old left-handed pitcher Tyler Martin to win the game for Evanston. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," McConnell said in his postgame press conference.
