Pilots Absorb 2-0 Home Loss
|
Right-hander Sam Haydon mesmerized the Jacksonville Pilots while leading the Pennsylvania Butterflies to a 2-0 victory. In 7.2 innings, Haydon surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Matt York was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.
Chris Lewis had a direct impact on the outcome. Lewis contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Pennsylvania up, 2-0.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes said.
The 4th-place Butterflies have won 4 straight games.
