The Boise Hawks got a sterling performance from pitcher Aaron Nappi, but the Silicon Valley Hackers still prevailed, 5-2. Nappi threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 run. The winner was Nate Vitt in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Bobby Fischman took the loss. Jeremy Poholsky earned the save for Silicon Valley, his 1st of the year.
Silicon Valley used the timely hitting of Perry Frazer to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hackers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Boise manager .
At 29-20, the Hackers claim first place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.
