Cabo San Lucas Loses, 8-7, to Quebec in 11
|
The Quebec Armada and Cabo San Lucas Toreros obliged fans looking for a good time.
Despite a great performance by Cabo San Lucas first baseman Mark Carrozza, the Quebec Armada defeated the Toreros by the score of 8-7 in 11 innings at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Carrozza was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Toreros have now dropped 6 straight.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Quebec second baseman Vince Walker, facing Andy Carr, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Armada the 8-7 win.
"It was terrific getting this win," Walker said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
