In a low-scoring affair between the Louisiana Crocodiles and the Frisco Rams, pitcher Leo Mejia was the difference between victory and defeat. The Louisiana right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Crocodiles win. Mejia got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Don Krueger closed the door for Louisiana, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Israel Obando had a direct impact on the outcome. Obando contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Louisiana up, 2-0.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Louisiana manager Peter McColgan.
The 4th-place Crocodiles improved to 25-24.
