The home crowd had a good time watching the DeKalb Cornhuskers and Carson City Mustang get after it.

Though he had a stellar game, Jaden White could not prevent his team, the DeKalb Cornhuskers, from losing, 7-5, to the Carson City Mustang. White went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Carson City pitcher A.J. Coy got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Corey Brunjes got the loss.

The Mustang got a big at-bat from designated hitter Pedro Cortez. For the game, Cortez went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Carson City a 3-2 lead.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Cortez. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."

Carson City now sits at 16-29, while DeKalb falls to 21-25.
