Fans who congregated at The Coffee Grinder were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Wauwatosa Indians outlasted the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 7-5, in 10 innings. Chris Howard provided some punch at the plate for Wauwatosa. He was 3-5 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2. Wauwatosa reliever Hamilton Thomas was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Robby Medlin.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Ron Schott came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Buzzard's Bay pitcher Matt Williams, he hit a first pitch changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Wauwatosa on top, 5-4.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Howard.

Wauwatosa occupies 5th place in the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division at 27-28.
