Ortega Delivers Walk-Off Win for Wolverines
The Wichita Wolverines picked up a win at Howling Park, knocking off the Madison Beehive, 2-1. On the mound for Wichita was left-hander Elias Romero, who played a pivotal role in the win. Wichita reliever Ivan Marquez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Leon Galaviz was saddled with the loss. Wichita has now won 3 in a row.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Ruben Ortega came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Madison pitcher Leon Galaviz, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Wichita on top, 2-1.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Madison manager Li-chi Au.
