A 4-RBI performance from designated hitter Adam Buxton, who is tied for 6th in the RAA in extra base hits with 21, led the Beaumont Drillers to a win over the Kelowna Rockets, 8-1. The win for the Drillers lifted their record to 26-21.

Alan Kendrick had a big 2-run double for the Drillers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Beaumont leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Jeff Spotton and swatted a double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drillers ahead, 3-0.

Buxton called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
