Indians Win, 4-2, Versus Spokane
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Wauwatosa Indians and Spokane Bulldogs.
Wauwatosa turned a fine outing from starter Ron Schott into a victory over the Spokane Bulldogs at The Kennel. The final score was 4-2. Schott picked up the win for Wauwatosa, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2. Kevin Walczak collected save number 9.
Wauwatosa took advantage of an error in the top of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Carlo Tamburrino hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Indians in front, 3-2.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Schott told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
The Indians move to 26-27 with the win, while the Bulldogs drop to 14-40.
