Chapman, Black Bears Too Much for Spartans

Fraser Valley and Sandy Springs duked it out and the Black Bears came out victorious.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 25-year old left fielder Rick Chapman, the Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 5-2. The triumph puts Fraser Valley at 31-21 for the season.
Early in the game, Chapman had a 2-run double for Fraser Valley. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Black Bears on top, 2-0.
"That's what this team is about," said Chapman, "picking each other up."
