Drillers Deal Whitecaps 6-4 Defeat
The Beaumont Drillers knocked off the Boston Whitecaps, 6-4, at The Studio. Kevin Douglas was a big reason Beaumont won. The second baseman was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Beaumont pitcher Gregg Boucher earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Angel Payan suffered the loss. Beaumont currently is in third place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League at 25-20.

Beaumont took a 6-2 lead on Douglas's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Angel Payan in the top of the sixth, propelled Beaumont to the win.

"The most important thing is that we won," Douglas said.
