The Rockets grabbed a win, 8-4, at Red Bull Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Riverside pitcher Dave Suther. Suther went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Kelowna reliever Jerry Brown picked up the win to move to 3-2. Willie Chaparro suffered the loss. The 4th-place Rockets lifted their record to 27-26.

Kelowna needed the clutch hitting of Chase Gainey to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rockets on top, 6-4. For the game, Gainey had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gainey told the Kelowna Citizen.
