The Houghton Gremlins topped the Dallas Texans, 10-4, at Metroplex Park. Houghton left fielder Tim Alessio was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Brad Pecore. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The loss lowers the Dallas record to 3-1.

Houghton shortstop Adam Pappalardo contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Gremlins ahead, 9-2.
