Gamez goes 3-for-4, Hackers Move to 34-15
The first-place Silicon Valley Hackers picked up another win at San Jose Municipal Stadium.

The Silicon Valley Hackers topped the Cincinnati Snaps by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Rich Gamez. Gamez was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Hackers on the day. Silicon Valley has now won 7 straight, while the Snaps have lost 5 in a row.

Gamez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Silicon Valley in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Gamez took a fastball from Danny Dove and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Hackers to leap in front, 3-1.

"I like winning," Gamez told the Silicon Valley Bulletin. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
