Indians Pin 7-1 Loss on Roaring River
|
Wauwatosa Indians starter Josh Mullins pitched his team past the Roaring River Steelheads, 7-1. The Steelheads, at 18-26, have lost 4 straight games.
Carlo Tamburrino had a big 2-run double for the Indians in the top of the fourth inning. With Wauwatosa leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Vega and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Indians ahead, 4-0.
"This is truly a great team to play with," Mullins said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
