The home crowd had a good time watching the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters and Sandy Springs Spartans get after it.

The Sandy Springs Spartans got a marvelous performance from pitcher Kenny Holloway. The right-hander kept the Niagara Falls offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 7-1 Sandy Springs victory at The Coliseum. With the win over Niagara Falls, the Spartans improved to 23-25.

Mike Pack took Niagara Falls hurler Jason Murphy deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Spartans on top, 2-0. In all, Pack had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Sandy Springs skipper Rafael Alonso.
