Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Carson City Mustang and Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters.

The performance of Steve Waldrep proved critical in helping Carson City beat Niagara Falls, 7-5. The Mustang left fielder went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Damien Lamboglio earned the save for Carson City, his 9th.

Waldrep had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 sinker from Mike Olejarz, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Mustang a 6-5 lead. It was the 8th double of the year for Waldrep.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Waldrep.

Carson City goes to 15-26, Niagara Falls to 24-17.
