Buzzard's Bay Triumphs with Late Surge
McCormick Field hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats picked up a win at McCormick Field, dropping the Pacifica Shamrocks, 1-0. Jeremy Harris, who is tied for 10th in the RAA with a 1.19 WHIP, was the difference-maker. Danny Torres recorded the save for Buzzard's Bay, his 10th of the season.

Buzzard's Bay used a timely hit from Aaron McClaskey to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Beetlecats ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said McClaskey.

The second-place Beetlecats sport a record of 23-18.
