Unger Leads Shamrocks to Win
The Pacifica Shamrocks beat the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats by a score of 9-2. Pacifica center fielder Rory Unger deserved the lion's share of the credit. Unger went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Shamrocks. Ed Brereton, 2-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Pacifica occupies 6th place in the RCL AA Gene Mauch Division at 17-25.

Unger had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the fourth for the Shamrocks. Coming up with the bases loaded and Pacifica trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.
