Crocodiles Win at Wichita, 7-3
|
Louisiana starter Steve Harvey had a strong outing against the Wichita Wolverines at Howling Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Harvey, now 4-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Alex Bustillos, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.
The result might have been different for Louisiana, had it not been for Kevin Potts. The designated hitter produced a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Crocodiles ahead, 4-1. For the game, Potts had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Louisiana manager James Lee.
The Crocodiles now have a record of 21-28.
