Janes Propels Evanston Offense in 12-3 Rout
The Evanston Bishops romped over the Madison Beehive, 12-3, at The Hive. Tom Janes led the way. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Evanston. Evanston pitcher Willis Paulino got the win, upping his record to 6-2. David Torres got the loss. With the victory, the Bishops upped their record to 24-21.

Calgary, Canada native Tom Janes had a clutch at-bat in the top of the sixth for the Bishops. With Evanston trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Evanston skipper Harold Planter.
