Salazar Lays Hammer Down in 4-2 Win
Basque Block Field was the site of a competitive game between the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters and Boise Hawks.

The Boise Hawks rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Jorge Salazar to a win, beating the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, 4-2, at Basque Block Field. The 6th-place Hawks have a record of 19-20.

Salazar was in the zone all game. He frustrated Niagara Falls hitters while giving the Hawks 8 innings of quality work. Salazar threw 107 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 13 punchouts.
