Drillers Claim 4-1 Triumph
The Beaumont Drillers picked up a win at Drillers Stadium, knocking off the Wichita Wolverines, 4-1. On the mound for Beaumont was right-hander Mike Downey. He played a key role in the triumph. The Drillers go to 22-18, putting them third in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.

Chris Lacenaire helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Drillers.

"Mike pitched like a champ," said Beaumont manager Takuzo Kaneshiro.
