Both teams had their chances, but the Maple Marauders eventually prevailed.

The Maple Marauders spoiled a good performance by San Francisco designated hitter Brian Cornelius, bumping off San Francisco, 8-7, at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. Cornelius slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Eric Strief notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1.

Maple took the lead, 8-7, on Frank Robinson III's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off San Francisco pitcher Greg Hobson in the bottom of the eighth.

"We'll try to build on that win," Robinson III told the Maple Gazette.

The 4th-place Marauders now have a win-loss record of 16-20.
