Niagara Falls Rallies for 4-3 Win
|
The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters took Edgar Melendez's best shot and still were able to collect a win at The Swamp. The final score had Niagara Falls getting past the Crocodiles, 4-3, in 10 innings. Melendez over 5 innings allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 4. The win puts the Pipe Fitters at 23-15, while the Crocodiles drop to 14-24.
Khalil Easterling came through with a big-time hit for Niagara Falls. The second baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Easterling said his team "played with focus."
