The Wichita Wolverines faced a tough opponent in Frisco pitcher Norietsu Ito, but found a way to pull out the victory at Howling Park by a final score of 7-6 in 10 innings. Ito went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Wichita reliever Matt Schaller picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Alex Mateus absorbed the loss. The defeat makes Frisco 19-18.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Wichita pinch hitter Ivan Moreno, facing Alex Mateus, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Wolverines the 7-6 win.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Moreno said, postgame.
