Buzzard's Bay center fielder John Whitaker contributed significantly to his team's 6-3 win over the Silicon Valley Hackers. Whitaker, who is tied for 8th in the RAA in RBI with 29, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Beetlecats. The win gives Buzzard's Bay a season record of 24-20.

The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from right fielder Robby Stewart. For the game, Stewart went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 3-1 lead.

Stewart attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
