Beehive Edge Storm Troopers, 7-6
|
The Madison Beehive took San Antonio pitcher Dave Tillotson's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Hive. The final score had Madison getting past the Storm Troopers, 7-6. Tillotson went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 5. The winner was Madison reliever Connor Moody, now 1-0. The loser was Sean Mitchell. The first-place Beehive improved to 23-19.
Greg Elliott was the walk-off hero for Madison. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Beehive second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We found a way to get it done," Elliott said.
