Sandy Springs beat Fraser Valley at The Coliseum, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Ben Mills, who earned player of the game honors. The win was credited to Silas Lawson in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Miguel Covarrubias took the loss. The Spartans now have a record of 22-19.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Kevin Mosier came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Fraser Valley pitcher Miguel Covarrubias, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Sandy Springs on top, 5-4.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Mosier told the Sandy Springs Gazette.
