Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Ricardo Nieves, who is tied for 5th in the RAA with a .621 slugging percentage, the Silicon Valley Hackers defeated the Louisiana Crocodiles, 9-0. The winning pitcher was Dale Lacoste. He's now 1-0. He went 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits for the Hackers. At 24-11, the Hackers claim first place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.

The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the San Jose Municipal Stadium crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
