Black Bears Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Chargers
|
Fraser Valley Black Bears starter Jesus Salazar was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Terra Linda Chargers, 5-1. Miguel Covarrubias earned the save for Fraser Valley, his 10th of the year. Fraser Valley goes to 21-21, Terra Linda to 30-11.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when right fielder David Anders, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2043 draft, drew a walk. The Black Bears went on to win.
Salazar attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
