Extra frames were needed to settle this game between the Wichita Wolverines and Evanston Bishops.

The Evanston Bishops got a whale of a performance from pitcher Symão Alegro, but the Wichita Wolverines still prevailed, 4-3, in 10 innings. Alegro threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The Wolverines go to 13-22 with the win.

Wichita won the game in part because of Matt Cardon. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 4-2. For the game, Cardon had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"I like that statistic at the end of the game where there's another run for our team than the other team has," said winning manager Abel Keller.
