Hackers Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Silicon Valley and Riverside duked it out at Red Bull Stadium and the Hackers came out victorious.
The Silicon Valley Hackers defeated the Riverside Red Bulls, 6-3, at Red Bull Stadium. Silicon Valley third baseman Bobby Rosa was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Silicon Valley reliever Max Hageman picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Alastair Martin shouldered the loss. Mike Butcher earned the save, his 10th.
Rosa had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 sinker from Alastair Martin, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Hackers a 5-3 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Rosa.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Rosa.
Silicon Valley has run its win streak to 5 in a row.
