Multi-HR Day for Colwell as Wolverines Overpower Seagulls, 11-7
The Wichita Wolverines stopped the Clearwater Seagulls, 11-7, behind an impressive performance from Matt Colwell. The 22-year old first baseman made life miserable for Clearwater pitching. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring three times. The Wolverines, at 16-22, inhabit 5th place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

With Wichita trailing 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Colwell hit a splitter from Dave Rios for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 6-4.

"Matt showed up tonight," said Wichita manager Abel Keller.
