The Corn Crib was rocking after an exciting Cornhuskers win.

The DeKalb Cornhuskers faced a tough opponent in Niagara Falls pitcher Kyle Carothers, but still scratched out a win at The Corn Crib by a final score of 7-6 in 17 innings. Carothers went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Jose Salinas, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 17th for DeKalb. That's when Matt Spikes hit a solo home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Juan Amador to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Our fans made themselves heard," said Spikes.

The Cornhuskers go to 15-22 with the win.
