Riding the 3-hit performance of the 28-year old shortstop Cory Keefe, the Dallas Texans stopped the Montreal Jazz, 14-2, in 9 innings. Montreal is now 14-17.

Matt Mulholland had a big 2-run home run for the Texans in the bottom of the first inning. With Dallas leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Sam Hickey and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Texans ahead, 3-0.

"Big team win," Keefe said later.
