The Wauwatosa Indians stopped the Sandy Springs Spartans by a score of 17-0 at The Coliseum, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Chris Shell. The 19-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Shell said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Shell did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Spartans.

"Not much that I can say," offered Sandy Springs manager Rafael Alonso. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Chris Shell grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off John Burgess in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Ernie Jones in the 8th.
