Wichita turned a fine outing from starter Sterling Livengood into a victory over the Evanston Bishops at Howling Park. The final score was 3-2 in 14 innings. At 15-19, the Wolverines find themselves in 5th place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

The Wolverines got a clutch hit from center fielder Matt Thweatt. In the bottom of the 14th, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Wolverines.

Thweatt called the extra-inning win a "confidence builder."
