The Carson City Mustang picked up a win at Chapman Field, knocking off the Clearwater Seagulls, 7-3. Starting pitcher Jermão Corvite played a key role in the triumph. The win hiked the Carson City record to 22-13.

Carson City won the game in part because of Matt Pinksen. The catcher ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mustang ahead, 4-0. For the game, Pinksen had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Clearwater skipper Ayub Ndadaye.
