Ramrods Prevail, 6-4, Over Montreal
|
Huntington Station took on Montreal in front of a lively crowd.
The Montreal Mounties got a sterling performance from pitcher Karl Barnett, but the Huntington Station Ramrods still prevailed, 6-4. Barnett came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters. Lance Kennedy closed it out for Huntington Station, earning his 9th save.
Huntington Station took a 6-4 lead on Chris Kern's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Kern hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Sergio Moreno visibly frustrated.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Kern after the game.
The win leaves Huntington Station with a record of 18-13.
